Sioma is located in the Western Province of Zambia. 76.7% of the population lacks access to basic needs, stable income, and employment opportunities. Most families rely on small-scale farming and fishing, yet frequent droughts and floods often disrupt livelihoods. Access to quality education is limited due to inadequate infrastructure and long distances to school, with about 25% of children aged 7 to 9 not attending school. Healthcare is also difficult to access, with some travelling up to 29 km to reach services. Only 49% of households have access to clean and safe water, leaving many families vulnerable.

Through Child Sponsorship, your support can help provide children in Sioma with life essentials—enabling them to be educated, stay healthy, be protected from harm, and build a brighter future.
