Church Partnerships
Faith in Action
World Vision’s mission is to follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to where the need is greatest, and to work with the poor and oppressed from all backgrounds to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God. We witness Christ by sharing Jesus' light through actions of love and kindness.
As a global Christian humanitarian organisation, we partner with churches to respond to God’s call to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world’s toughest places through missional experiences that build faith and encourage generosity. We invite congregations to look into the realities of poverty and injustice, and to put their faith into action by taking part in God’s story of restoration for the most vulnerable, creating a Christ-centred impact globally.
Our Missional Roots
World Vision was born from a radical vision of mission — one that embraces the holistic restoration of lives broken by material deprivation and starved of spiritual hope. Our founder Bob Pierce encountered the suffering of Asia's most vulnerable children in the 1940s, and it changed everything.
"Let my heart be broken by the things
that break the heart of God," - Bob Pierce
The legacy of Dr. Pierce's lifelong commitment — bearing witness to God's Kingdom through compassion and the pursuit of biblical justice — lives on in our work today. We remain dedicated to addressing the needs of vulnerable children and families worldwide, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, gender, or nationality.
How your church can be involved
Mobilise your congregation to partner us in our community initiatives. Unite with us through prayer and service. Our programmes help faith communities take real action to promote human transformation and seek justice for the world's most vulnerable.
Chosen — Child Sponsorship
Chosen is the heart of the gospel – God chooses us, loves us, and sees us. God has inspired this new invitation to child sponsorship, where instead of us choosing a child, the child has the power to choose. This connection that begins with a child choosing us, grows our compassion, broadens our worldview and invites us into a closer walk with Jesus.
Global Emergencies
When disaster strikes, World Vision is one of the first organisations to respond within 72 hours. Your church can stand with children in crisis by partnering with us on our emergency response and mobilising prayer for the afflicted.
Speaking Engagements & Ministry Collaborations
Invite a World Vision speaker to your church service, fellowship groups, or organisational gatherings. We bring firsthand accounts from the field that bring God's heart for the poor to life.
“Faith in Action” Trips
Visit communities World Vision serves and discover how God is transforming lives. Interact with our field workers and see how biblical principles inform our approach to sustainable transformation of communities.

Faith-in-Action Virtual Mission Trip - Reflections from Yio Chu Kang Chapel
Covid-19 has caused major disruption to the world over the past couple of years. Organisations had to quickly rethink how they conducted their operations in order to comply with the latest Safe Management Measures, as well as how to stay relevant in the changing world. Likewise, the church has to evaluate how it can continue to participate in cross-cultural missions in light of Covid restrictions. When the opportunity to partner with World Vision in a Faith-in-Action Virtual trip to Cebu, Philippines arose, a team of 10 youths and young adults from Yio Chu Kang Chapel quickly jumped on board.
