Kuleaen is located in one of the poorest provinces in Cambodia. Schools are ill-equipped and children of different grades share a classroom. Many children drop out of school to support their families. The main livelihood source is agriculture. Families struggle to have sufficient yield and income. Access to basic healthcare is limited. 50% of the children and families do not have access to clean water and sanitation  facilities. Malnutrition rate among children under 5 is one of the highest in the region.

Through Child Sponsorship, your support can help children stay in school, grow up healthy, and build a brighter future.

“I felt very sad when I entered the primary school because it felt very old and rundown with many holes. Inside the school, you can feel the rain falling on you. The roof is incomplete and the walls have many cracks. This is one of the most rudimentary schools I have seen. The good news is that next to it, the construction of a school building has begun with the contribution of World Vision, so there is hope.”

Felicia Chin, World Vision Goodwill Ambassador, Visited Kuleaen in 2024

“We never knew how clean water affects our health. We drink the water directly from pond or well. World Vision has provided water filters to my school. We are very happy to have safe water at school. Thank you World Vision”
