    Youth For Change: Moisi, From Protected Child to Protector of Children
    23-year-old Moisi is the eldest son of a family with five children. Moisi's father, having lost a hand, has been unable to work. Moisi's mother has struggled with a mental disability for the last 20 years. Their home was built almost 70 years ago but was destroyed by bombing during the 1997 civil war in Albania. His family members lived in the house's animal shelter as all the other rooms in the house had become uninhabitable. With his father in retirement due to physical disability, the family's household finances were strained.

    Youth for Change: Edren, Equipped to Go Further
    Youth Leader Edren had suffered from the traumatic loss of his father and grandmother from heart attacks because they had failed to receive immediate and urgent medical care in their home located in the remote area of Pangasinan, north of the Philippines. Determined to prevent similar incidences from happening as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Edren started Go Bike to offer immediate healthcare in his village.

    Youth For Change: Dola, A Warrior Against Child Marriage
    Bangladesh has one of the highest rates of child marriage worldwide. As of 2021, 66% of girls in Bangladesh are married before they turn 18 and 32% are married before they turn 15. In addition, UNICEF has predicted 10 million more child marriages across the next 10 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    30 Hour Famine: #ClimateAction 2020!
    The 30 Hour Famine: #ClimateAction 2020 took place virtually on Instagram for the first time from 26 - 29 May. A total of 488 participants challenged themselves to fight climate change by completing various tasks to reduce their carbon footprint, while learning about the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities.     Bringing Hope to Children Through Heartstrings in Taikkyi
    5 passionate students from National Junior College, Joyce Goh, Ker Jun Sheng, Vernice Teo, Allysa Tan and Xavier Cheah, started "Heartstrings in Taikkyi" - a campaign to raise awareness and funds for the needs of the community in Taikkyi, Myanmar. The team mounted a school-wide exhibition from 19 - 20 August 2019 to sensitise their peers to the educational and child protection needs in Taikkyi, and invited them to write letters of encouragement to the children and youth living there as a show of support.

    Enhancing Life Skills and Employability of Youths in Son Tra, Vietnam
    A team of two lecturers and 24 students studying different courses at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) took part in a Youth Expedition Project (YEP) in Da Nang, Vietnam on 8-20 September 2019. This YEP was organised by NP’s Office of Service Learning (OSL) in conjunction with World Vision, and was the second in a series of Service-Learning trips that introduced students at NP to World Vision’s child-centred approach to sustainable development. The team shares some reflections and key takeaways from their experience.
