The devastation Dr Kyi Minn, National Director of World Vision International Myanmar saw on the ground after the earthquake broke his heart. He met mothers cradling their babies under the hot sun, in the hottest month of the year, trying to shield them without access to clean water or a safe place to stay. He saw children sitting silently in long queues, waiting for a simple meal.

When the earthquake struck, the wall behind Alinka shook violently, ripping like a wave. She clung tightly to the door, unfortunately it collapsed on her.
